There are many plants and animals that live in many types of environments. Today, we will be learning about the different animals that live in the ocean. You will learn about how they live and what they eat.
You will choose a sea creature or animal to research. For example, you may choose a starfish, shark, sea otter, dolphin, killer whale, sea horse, squid or any other animal. You will answer four questions. 1. What does your animal or creature eat? 2. Does it have any predators and what are they? 3. Does your animal or creature live in the deep ocean, the tide pools, shallow waters, or coral reefs? 4. Describe what body parts your animal or creature has. 1. You will work in a group of four. 2. You will choose one sea creature or animal to investigate. 3. You will find the answers to the four TASK questions using RESOURCES links. 4. Use the research worksheet to answer the questions. 5. Make a POSTER OR DIORAMA of your sea animal or creature using the information from your WORKSHEET. Your worksheet and poster or diorama will be EVALUATED upon accuracy and completeness. http://www.highlandpark.org/sherwood/SWAT%20team/underwater.htm http://www.calstatela.edu/faculty/eviau/edit557/oceans/linda/loceans.htm http://www.yahooligans.com/content/animals/species/4020.html http://www.worldbookonline.com/ http://www.seaworld.org/Search/query.htm
