Introduction

Congratulations! You have just been hired by the State of California to make a new brochure enticing people to visit this great state!

Task

You will work together in groups of four to make one brochure.  You will break California four regions (convenient, one for each of you!) Northern California, Southern California, Coastal and Central California.

Process

Your brochure will include all of the following:

1.      A cover that represents your collective work.  It can be a picture you have chosen along the way  or one that a talented member of your group has drawn.

2.      The next four pages will be your individual efforts breaking down each region and emphasizing the best qualities in that region; i.e. attractions, resources and the author’s (YOU!) favorite pick.

3.      The back page will be your group’s collective resources that you used in making the brochure the best it can be and/or sites you found helpful.

Conclusion

The final product will be the brochure.  Also on a separate piece of paper please answer the following questions individually:

1.      Based on your brochure would you want to visit California?  Which region? Where would you most like to visit?  To Live?

2.      What did you learn from this experience?

3.      What would you do differently?
