 Why are traditions important? Do you ever wonder why you do the same thing every holiday? Traditions are only a small part of Christmas Around the World. Explore how the rest of the world celebrates Christmas by following their traditions. Culture is something that brings people together and gives meaning to celebrations like Christmas. During this web quest you will discover customs and traditions from around the world. 

 

Task

In a group of five or six, research one culture’s traditions. Focus on a common gift giving practice, traditional song, language, and cultural food.   Uses the information gathered about the culture and compares it to your culture’s traditions in a Venn diagram. Create a picture to illustrate what a Christmas celebration would look like.
